Royston Runners stage an annual measured road race of 10 miles (16 km) around Buntingford, Hertfordshire. The single-lap course is officially measured and described as undulating. The event has an entry limit of 800 and a race licence with England Athletics is pending.
Entry fees are shown as £23 for affiliated runners and £25 for unaffiliated runners; entries will not be available on the day. Transfers are possible via the RaceBest website until 18 December. There is a 2.5 hour cut-off; marshals and finish-line staff may begin to withdraw after this time.
Facilities at Race HQ, Freman College, include toilets, changing facilities and baggage storage; there are no showers. Water stations are sited near Westmill at 3.5 and 8 miles and additional water is available at the finish. The organisers aim to run the event cupless and will provide cups at the water station. Hot food, tea and cake will be available at the finish and simple refreshments and fruit are provided for finishers. Parking is limited.
Prizes include trophies for the first three male and female finishers and first male and female in age categories 40 plus, 50 plus, 60 plus and 70 plus, with a maximum of one trophy per participant. The race incorporates the Hertfordshire Veterans Road Running County Championship with individual and team medals across veteran age groups.
