Event
The Buntingford Year End 10 is a road race organised by Royston Runners on 28 December 2025 in Buntingford, Hertfordshire. The course is officially measured as 10 miles (about 16 km). Entries are limited to 750. There is a cut-off of 2.5 hours; marshals and the finish-line team may start to withdraw after this time. Headphones are banned under British Athletics rules. No dogs or buggies are permitted.
Course and facilities
The race is a single-lap, undulating road course with an England Athletics race licence (29703) and is suitable for wheelchairs. Race headquarters is at Freman College, Bowling Green Lane, Buntingford, SG9 9BT. Water stations are located near Westmill at 3.5 miles and 8 miles, with additional water at the finish. The event aims to be cupless; participants are asked to bring their own cup or bottle. Bottles and bags can be left in the school hall for collection after finishing. Facilities include toilets, changing rooms and a baggage store; there are no showers. Parking is limited; Bowling Green Lane car park is listed as free on Sunday.
Results, prizes and entry terms
Special 40th anniversary medals are issued to all finishers within the cut-off. Trophies are awarded to first, second and third male and female overall and to the first male and female in age categories 40+, 50+, 60+ and 70+. The race also incorporates the Hertfordshire Veterans Road Running County Championship with individual and team medals in specified veteran age categories.
