Buntingford Year End 10 2026
Royston Runners stage an annual measured 10 miles road race in and around Buntingford, Hertfordshire on 28 December 2026. The course is a single lap on road with an undulating profile and an overall entry limit of 800. The event is listed as suitable for wheelchairs and holds a race licence status to be confirmed.
The event incorporates the Hertfordshire Veterans Road Running County Championship with individual and team medals across veteran age categories for men and women. Trophies are awarded for male and female 1st to 3rd overall and for the first male and female in each age category 40+, 50+, 60+ and 70+, with a maximum of one trophy per participant.
Facilities at Race HQ, Freman College, Bowling Green Lane, Buntingford SG9 9BT include toilets, changing facilities, baggage storage and distance markers. Water stations are located near the out-and-back point by Westmill at about 3.5 and 8 miles, with additional water and refreshments at the finish; the event aims to be cupless so participants are expected to provide their own cup or bottle. Hot food, drinks and snacks will be available for purchase. Headphones are banned under British Athletics rules and non compliance may lead to disqualification. No dogs or buggies are permitted. Transfers between entrants are possible until 18 December via the race website. A cut off of 2.5 hours applies and marshals and finish staff may begin to withdraw after that time.
