14th Annual Buffs4Life memorial 5K at CU Boulder
This in-person 5K run/walk takes place at Franklin Field on the CU Boulder campus on June 21, 2026. The event is presented by the Buffs4Life Foundation as a community and family-focused gathering that includes food, music, games and an expo.
Registration options and fees are listed for individuals and small groups: individual $25; duo $45; team of 3 $65; team of 4 $85; family (up to 5) $90. Packet pickup is available Saturday, June 20 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm, and race-day registration plus packet pickup is offered Sunday morning from 8:00 am to 8:45 am. After the run there is a breakfast sponsored by Pasta Jay’s, an expo, an award ceremony and a student-athlete autograph session.
Fundraising is a central part of the event. Over the past 13 years this fun run has raised more than $100,000 for former University of Colorado athletes and their families. Over the past 20 years the Buffs4Life Foundation has raised more than $1,000,000 with emphasis on mental health resources and suicide prevention.
Visitor parking on campus uses a weekend rate of $1 per hour. Closest lots to Franklin Field include Lots 394, 390 and the Champions Center Lot 391, all accessible from Folsom Street. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
