14th Annual Buffs4Life Memorial 5K Run/Walk
This event is an in-person 5K Run/Walk held at Franklin Field on the CU Boulder campus in Boulder, Colorado. The course begins and finishes at Franklin Field and is presented by the Buffs4Life organization. The event is described as family oriented and open to participants of all ages.
Registration is offered in several pricing options: Individual entry for $30 per person, Duo for $55 per group of two, and Family for $110 for up to five individuals. Packet pickup is available the day before outside the team store at the Champions Center and there is also packet pickup on race day.
On-site activities and amenities include food, music, games, a post-run expo, an award ceremony, and a student athlete autograph session. Breakfast after the run is sponsored by Pasta Jay’s.
The event supports fundraising for former CU athletes and their families. Over the past 13 years this Fun Run has raised more than $100,000 for former athletes in need, and the Buffs4Life Foundation reports over $1 million raised in the last 20 years with an emphasis on mental health resources and suicide prevention.
Visitor parking on the CU Boulder campus is not free; weekend parking is available at a stated rate of $1 per hour. The closest lots to Franklin Field are Lots 394, 390 and the Champions Center Lot 391, all accessible from Folsom Street. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
