14th Annual Buffs4Life Memorial 5K Run/Walk
The event is a community 5K run/walk held at Franklin Field on the CU Boulder campus in Boulder, Colorado on June 21, 2026. It is organized by the Buffs4Life Foundation as a memorial 5K and presented as a family friendly activity that brings together current and former athletes, coaches, and fans.
Registration is offered with set fees: Individual $30, Duo $55 (group of 2), and Family $100 (up to five individuals). Packet pickup is available the day before the event outside the team store in the Champions Center; race-day packet pickup is also provided.
The run supports Buffs4Life fundraising efforts. Over the past 13 years this Fun Run has raised more than $100,000 for former CU athletes and their families. Over the past 20 years the foundation has raised over $1,000,000 with a special emphasis on mental health resources and suicide prevention.
Post-run activities include a breakfast sponsored by Pasta Jay’s, an expo, an award ceremony, and a student-athlete autograph session. Visitor parking on the CU Boulder campus is not free; the weekend rate is $1 per hour. The closest lots to Franklin Field are to the north: Lots 394, 390, and the Champions Center Lot 391, all accessible from Folsom Street.
