Event details
The Buddy Run 5K and Fun Run takes place on Sunday, November 2, 2025. The event is organized by Congregation Beth Am Tampa and benefits Buddy Baseball, a non-competitive recreational league for children with special needs based in Temple Terrace, FL. This is the fifteenth year the event is held at Lake Park. Event options include:

- Virtual 5K
- Virtual 1 Mile
The virtual 5K and 1 mile can be run anywhere from October 31 to November 2, and registrants may post results on the event website. The Buddy Dash is listed as free. Registrations and some prices change before October 19 and some virtual registrations end on November 2. Registering before October 20 guarantees chosen shirt style and size.
Location and logistics
Place: Lake Park, 17302 N Dale Mabry Hwy, Lutz, FL 33548. The 5K course at Lake Park is an out-and-back route with the start and finish in front of the Eagle Shelter. Pre-race packet pickup is scheduled for Saturday, November 1 from 3:00 to 5:00 pm at The Running Center - Tampa, 14427 N. Dale Mabry Hwy, Tampa, FL 33618. A $2 cash parking fee per vehicle is charged at the park. Registered participants receive a unique referral link; five referrals can earn a refund of up to $20.
