Buckeye Sun Trail Runs
The Buckeye Sun Trail Runs take place on August 8, 2026 in Lewis Center, OH. The event is organized by Greenswell Events and offers multiple trail distances around Alum Creek Reservoir. The course is a looped, moderately rolling wide-track trail that runs alongside the reservoir and is marked for navigation.
Runners complete a 4.1 mile trail loop and may choose to run one to four laps. Each lap passes the Celebration Area where earlier finishers and spectators gather.
- 7K = 1 loop
- 13K = 2 loops
- 20K = 3 loops
- 26K = 4 loops
Check-in is located at the Start/Finish area just south of the trail entrance at the Boat Launch area. Parking is available at the Galena Boat Ramp off Africa Road; participants are asked to park in designated areas and not on the grass or along the road.
All finishers receive a commemorative finisher amenity. The top three overall male and female finishers for each distance receive awards. An interactive course map is available for the route around Alum Creek Reservoir. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
