Buckeye Sun Trail Runs
The Buckeye Sun Trail Runs take place in Lewis Center, OH on August 8, 2026. The event is organized by Greenswell Events and uses a looped trail course that runs near Alum Creek Reservoir. The course is described as a moderately rolling, wide-track trail and will be marked for navigation.
The loop measures 4.1 miles per lap, and runners may choose to complete one to four laps. Each lap returns to a central Celebration Area where earlier finishers and spectators may be present.
Distances available:
- 7K = 1 loop
- 13K = 2 loops
- 20K = 3 loops
- 26K = 4 loops
Check-in is located at the Start/Finish area just south of the trail entrance at the Boat Launch area. Parking is available at the Galena Boat Ramp off Africa Road; participants are asked to park in designated areas and not in the grass or along the road.
All finishers receive a commemorative finisher amenity. The top three overall male and female finishers for each distance receive awards. Registration closes on Friday, August 7 at 11:59 PM ET. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
