The race uses a 4.1 mile loop on a moderately rolling, wide-track trail that runs alongside Alum Creek Reservoir. The course is marked for navigation. Runners can choose to complete 1, 2, 3 or 4 laps of the loop; the lap options correspond to the listed distances (7K = 1 lap, 13K = 2 laps, 20K = 3 laps, 26K = 4 laps). Each lap passes the Celebration Area near the Start/Finish so participants will pass spectators and earlier finishers.
Check-in is located at the Start/Finish area just south of the trail entrance at the Boat Launch area. There is parking at the Galena Boat Ramp off Africa Road; participants should park in designated areas in the parking lot and avoid parking in the grass or along the road.
All finishers receive a commemorative finishers amenity. The top three overall male and female finishers for each distance receive awards. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
