Buckeye Sun Trail Runs
The Buckeye Sun Trail Runs take place Saturday, August 8, 2026 in Lewis Center, Ohio, at the trail area near the Galena Boat Ramp off Africa Road. The event offers multiple timed trail distances and loop options on trails that run alongside Alum Creek Reservoir.
Distances offered
- 7K = 1 loop
- 13K = 2 loops
- 20K = 3 loops
- 26K = 4 loops
Course details: the route is a 4.1 mile loop on moderately rolling, wide-track trail with views of Alum Creek Reservoir. The course will be marked to assist with navigation. Runners choosing multiple laps will pass the Celebration Area on each circuit.
Check-in and parking: check-in is located at the Start/Finish area just south of the trail entrance at the Boat Launch area. There is ample parking at the Galena Boat Ramp off Africa Road; participants are asked to park in designated areas and not in the grass or along the road.
Finishers and awards: all finishers receive a commemorative finishers amenity. The top three overall male and female finishers for each distance receive awards. Race shirts are provided as part of the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
