BTC Vulcan Run : event overview
The BTC Vulcan Run is scheduled for Saturday, November 7, 2026, in Homewood, AL 35209. The 2026 race is the 52nd edition; the event began in November 1975 as the Bicentennial Run with 221 runners. The race is hosted by the Birmingham Track Club.
Races and entry
- 10K - $45 entry, open to ages 6+
- 5K - $25 entry, open to ages 6+
Registration for the event opens November 17, 2025. Participants who register by October 19 are guaranteed to receive the event shirt. Current Birmingham Track Club members receive a discounted entry.

The Vulcan Run is part of the BTC Race Series, a bundle of four races offered by the Birmingham Track Club; registering for the bundle registers the entrant for this race.
