The Squirrels Running Group is organising the Broughton Astley Santa Dash & Dawdle on Sunday 6 December 2026 in Broughton Astley, starting at Main Street, postcode LE9 6RA. The event offers short community running and walking options through the streets of the village.

All entrants aged over 5 receive a T‑shirt and a Santa hat to wear plus a commemorative medal. Children under 5 receive a medal and a hat. Entry categories and fees listed by the organiser are: adult 15 years and over £15 including T‑shirt and hat, child 5–15 years £10 including T‑shirt and hat, under 5 free. The organiser has set a maximum of 500 entrants and an entry closing date of 30/11/2026. All profits are allocated to Young Lives V's Cancer as the club charity.
The organiser’s terms state that participation is at individual risk and that adults booking for children under 11 must stay with them during the event. Entries are non refundable and non transferable. Dogs are not permitted to take part. Registration details are collected for event administration and safety and will be stored securely until after the event when they will be d after 30 days. General event photography may be taken and marshals should be informed on the day if someone does not wish to be identifiable in photos.
