Brookhaven Cherry Blossom 5k at Blackburn Park
The Brookhaven Cherry Blossom 5k is a charity road race held as part of the Brookhaven Cherry Blossom Festival. The event takes place on March 21, 2026 at Blackburn Park in Brookhaven, Georgia, and is a fundraiser for Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. Organizers state that 100% of race proceeds go directly to support the Children's Healthcare work.
Walkers and families are explicitly welcome; the event commonly includes young runners and participants with strollers. Walkers start immediately after runners and participants are asked to be considerate of competitive runners and small children. Teams may enter and team prizes will be awarded.
All finishers registered by March 12 are guaranteed a 2026 event t-shirt, with organizers noting they will try to provide shirts to additional finishers when possible. Award categories include overall men and women plus age-group awards for 13 and under, 14 to 21, 22 to 35, 36 to 45, 46 to 55, 56 to 65, and 66 and over.
Packet pick-up and in-person registration are available at Big Peach Ride + Run in Brookhaven on Thursday March 19 (12:00 - 7:00 PM) and Friday March 20 (12:00 - 7:00 PM), with in-person registration also offered on race day at Blackburn Park during the morning packet pick-up window. The event notes parking restrictions near Blackburn Park and asks participants to observe posted lot rules and on-street parking restrictions.
