Event Overview
The Brookhaven Cherry Blossom 5k is a charity running event scheduled for Saturday, March 21, 2026. It takes place at Blackburn Park, located at 3501 Ashford Dunwoody Road Northeast in Brookhaven, Georgia. This event is a fundraiser for Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, with 100% of race proceeds going to support the organization. It is also described as an Atlanta Journal Constitution Peachtree Road Race qualifier.
Course and Participation
The event features a 5k run. Walkers are welcome and will start immediately after the runners. The event notes that it often draws family groups, including young runners and children in strollers. Participants are asked to be considerate of competitive runners.
Dogs are permitted as spectators but are not allowed to participate in the race itself due to the described difficulty and terrain of the route. Spectator dogs must remain leashed.
Awards and Registration
Awards are given in several categories, including overall men's and women's (trophies), and age groups ranging from 13 and under to 66 and over.
Packet pick-up and in-person registration are available in advance at Big Peach Ride + Run in Brookhaven on the Thursday and Friday before the race, and on race day at the park. Registration by credit card or check is accepted; cash is not accepted.
Additional Information
Participants registered by March 12 are guaranteed the event t-shirt. There is an early bird registration fee of $25.00, which increases to $30.00 after February 11.
