12th Annual Broad Rock Middle School Coyote Chase 5k & Fun Run

The event is an annual fundraiser and community run held in Wakefield, Rhode Island on March 28, 2026. It includes two distances:

5K
1 Mile Fun Run

The race supports the students of Broad Rock Middle School and offers awards for the 5K including a fastest team prize (minimum five athletes per team) and age-group awards for male and female categories in these ranges: 1-10, 11-19, 20-30, 31-40, 41-50, 50+. A special discount is available for Broad Rock Middle School students only.

Registrations received before February 1, 2026 qualify for a performance race shirt; the shirt is free for 5K participants and costs $18 for 1 Mile Fun Run participants. The first fifty registrants in the 1 Mile Fun Run will receive a participation ribbon.

Early bib pickup takes place at Broad Rock Middle School (351 Broad Rock Road, Wakefield, RI 02879) on the evening before the event. Professional timing and scoring are provided by a timing company.
