Broad Creek Bash 5K Run/Walk
The Broad Creek Bash 5K Run/Walk is scheduled for August 22, 2026, in Laurel, Delaware at North Laurel Early Learning Academy, 600 Wilson St., Laurel, DE 19956. The event is part of a community festival that was formerly called Broad Creek Bike & Brew and continues to include biking alongside the added run and walk options.
The event distance is 5K (3.11 miles). The exact race course is to be announced.
Registration is available online through RunSignUp with a mailed entry option. Fee levels include an Early Bird rate of $30 through August 9, a Pre Registration rate of $35 from August 10 through August 21, and a Last Chance race day rate of $40. Participants registered by August 17 are guaranteed a tech t-shirt; later registrations receive shirts on a first come basis. Mail entries may be sent to Seashore Striders C/O Broad Creak Bash, 9 Gander Lane, Lewes, DE 19958.
Timing will use the Chronotrack B Chip system managed by the Seashore Strider Event Production team. Amenities listed by the organizer include a produced finish line, custom printed tech t-shirts, custom awards, and a post-race awards celebration and after party at Tidewater Park, approximately 0.4 miles from the start/finish.
Awards will be presented to overall male and female champions, overall male and female masters (40+ years), and the top three male and female finishers in the following age groups: 9 & under; 10-13; 14-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; 70-79; 80+.
