Broad Creek Bash 5K Run/Walk
The Broad Creek Bash 5K Run/Walk takes place in Laurel, Delaware at Janosik Park, 201 Front Street. The event features a 3.11 Miles out-and-back course that runs from Janosik Park to Central Avenue heading south and returning to the park. Parking is available around Janosik Park and the Historical Society/Hitchens Homestead area.
Registration is offered online through RunSignUp and by mail using the universal entry form mailed to Seashore Striders C/O Broad Creak Bash, 9 Gander Lane, Lewes, DE 19958. Fee tiers are listed by the organizers and include an early rate, a pre-registration rate, and a race-day fee; participants registered by Monday, August 17 are guaranteed a tech t-shirt while later registrations are on a first-come basis.
Timing will use the Chronotrack B Chip system managed by the Seashore Strider Event Production team. Post-race amenities include a finish line produced by Seashore Strider Event Production, a post-race awards celebration and after party at Janosik Park, custom printed tech t-shirts, and custom awards.
Awards will be presented to overall male and female champions, overall male and female masters (40+), and the top three male and female finishers in the following age groups: 9 and under, 10-13, 14-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, and 80+. Proceeds support charitable giving to local nonprofit groups. The event follows a no-refund policy with options for transfer, donation, or deferral as described by the organizers.
