Event
This is the inaugural Sandhill Summer Countdown 5k Run/Walk. It takes place at Sandhill Fields, a 57-acre sports complex in Georgetown, Delaware.

Location and Venue
The event will be held at Sandhill Fields, located at 20330 Sandhill Road in Georgetown, Delaware. The venue features state-of-the-art sports fields and scenic walking trails.
Registration and Fees
There are three registration fee tiers:
- $30.00 "Early Bird" through February 8, 2026.
- $35.00 "Pre" registration from February 9 through February 20 at 10 p.m.
- $40.00 "Last Chance" on race day, open from 7:30 a.m. to 8:50 a.m.
Participants registered by February 17, 2026 are guaranteed a custom t-shirt. Registration can be completed online or via mail using a downloadable form.
Timing and Awards
Timing will be managed by the Seashore Strider Event Production team using the Chronotrack B Chip system. An awards ceremony will be held within 20 minutes of the final finisher. Awards will be presented to overall male and female champions, overall male and female masters (40+ years), and the top three male and female finishers in eight age categories.
Policies
The organizer has a no-refund policy but offers options to transfer an entry to a future event, donate the fee to charity, or defer to the following year's event. Awards can be picked up locally after the race or shipped for a $10 fee. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
