British OCR Championship (9 May 2026)

The British OCR Championship is the competitive race within the Nuclear Rush event, held on 9 May 2026 at Nuclear Races in Brentwood, Essex. The championship uses the 12K+ Rush course with an additional route and extra obstacles created specifically for the British Championship. The course is set across rugged terrain and includes water, mud and technical obstacles. The event lists an approximate completion time of 90 minutes and is for ages 18 and over.

Competition format and rules

The championship is supported by British Obstacle Sports and is designed for elite and professional OCR athletes. There are 60+ obstacles on the Rush course and all Rush course obstacles are mandatory. Mandatory obstacles may be attempted multiple times; failure to complete a mandatory obstacle results in a penalty. Penalty obstacles must be completed on the first attempt, and penalties and adjudication are described in the pre-race programme. The event is chip timed and all finishers receive a 2026 British Champs medal and a free finisher photo. Winners receive a trophy and prize money of £100 for the overall male and female winners. The event also serves as a qualifier for the OCR European Championships and OCR World Championships. Competitors must be current British Obstacle Sports members at the time of the event. Race waves include elite, age groups, para, international competitive waves and non-competitive waves. The published entry price is £110 per person (includes booking fee).
