Nuclear Rush
Nuclear Rush is an obstacle race held at the Secret Nuclear Bunker Estate in Brentwood, Essex. Courses run through muddy farmland, woodlands and lakes and combine natural terrain with man‑made obstacles, including the Deathslide and para‑plunge ziplines. The event uses chip timing and provides finishers medals and free finisher photos.
Distances available include:
- 1.5 km - Rush Rookies, 25+ obstacles, age 4+
- 3 km - Rush Rookies 3K or Rookies Pro, 50+ obstacles, age 9–14
- 6 km - Adult Rush, 40+ obstacles, age 13+ (13–15 require adult accompaniment)
- 12 km - Adult Rush, 70+ obstacles, age 16+
- 38 km+ - Rush Oblivion Storm, multi‑lap endurance event, age 18+
Onsite facilities and services listed for most waves include changing facilities, hot washdowns, buoyancy aids for water obstacles, free car parking and a free bag drop. Family and children waves offer shorter courses, medals and downloadable certificates; some youth waves allow one free supporting adult. The Rookies Pro format makes all obstacles mandatory and applies a burpee penalty for failed obstacles. For Oblivion Storm entrants the format requires multiple laps of the 12 km course to earn the Oblivion medal.
