Nuclear Rush
Nuclear Rush is a muddy obstacle course event held on the Secret Nuclear Bunker Estate in Kelvedon Hatch, Brentwood, Essex. The event runs over varied terrain including farmland, woodlands and lakes and features purpose-built natural and man-made obstacles. Signature elements named in the course include the 20 foot Deathslide, the Travelator and multi-lane zip wires into water.
The event offers two adult race distances:
- 6 km - approximately 40+ obstacles
- 12 km - approximately 70+ obstacles
The 6 km course is open to participants aged 13 and over, with adult accompaniment required for those aged 13 to 15. The 12 km course is for participants aged 16 and over. Races are chip timed and finishers receive a medal and a free finishers photo. There is no penalty for skipping obstacles, and buoyancy aids are available for water obstacles. On-site facilities listed for racers include hot washdowns, changing facilities, free car parking and a free bag drop.
