Nuclear Rush

Nuclear Rush is a muddy obstacle course event held on the Secret Nuclear Bunker Estate in Brentwood, Essex. Courses run through farmland, woodlands and lakes on a permanent course and include signature obstacles such as the 20 foot Deathslide, the Travelator and a 15 lane zip‑wire into water.

Available distances include:

• 1.5 km Rookie course for children aged 4 to 14.
• 3 km Rookie and Rookie Pro options for older children.
• 4 km Family course with mixed obstacles.
• 6 km Adult Rush course with approximately 40+ obstacles.
• 12 km Adult Rush course with 70+ obstacles.

Event entries are chip timed and finishers receive a medal. Facilities and services listed for many waves include hot washdowns, changing facilities, buoyancy aids for water obstacles, free car parking, free bag drop and free finishers photos. Age rules vary by wave: the 6 km course is open to participants aged 13 and above with adult accompaniment required for 13 to 15 year olds, while the 12 km race is listed for ages 16 and above. Rookie Pro requires mandatory completion of obstacles or performing 10 chest to floor burpees as a penalty for failed obstacles.

The event provides an on site spectator friendly event village with music, food, drinks and merchandise. Parking is free and within a short walking distance from the course. Swimming is not required for water obstacles. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
