Nuclear Rush
Nuclear Rush is a muddy outdoor obstacle race held on the Secret Nuclear Bunker Estate in Brentwood, Essex. The event uses farmland, woodland, rivers and lakes and features a mix of natural and man made obstacles, including the 20 foot Deathslide, the Travelator and a multi lane zip wire into water.
Available race formats include:
- 6 km course with 40+ obstacles
- 12 km course with 70+ obstacles
- 38 km Oblivion Storm requiring multiple 12 km laps
Adult races are chip timed and include a finishers medal, free finishers photo, free bag drop, changing facilities, hot washdowns, buoyancy aids for water obstacles and free parking. The 6 km course is open to ages 13 and over with adult accompaniment required for 13 to 15 year olds. The 12 km course is for ages 16 and over. The Oblivion Storm is for age 18 and over and is presented as an extended lap format that requires completion of multiple 12 km laps for the Oblivion medal.
Family and youth options are offered, including 1.5 km and 3 km Rookie courses and 1.5 km and 4 km family waves. These shorter races include age guidance, obstacle counts, children's changing facilities and similar on-site services. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
