Nuclear Rush overview
Nuclear Rush is a muddy obstacle course event held on the Secret Nuclear Bunker Estate in Brentwood, Essex. Courses run through farmland, woodlands and lakes. Signature obstacles include the Deathslide, Travelator and a multi‑lane zip wire into water. Races are chip timed and most entries receive a finishers medal, free finishers photo, free bag drop and access to hot washdowns and changing facilities. Buoyancy aids are available for water obstacles.
Race formats
- 6K - approx. 40+ obstacles; age 13+ (13–15 must be accompanied).
- 12K - approx. 70+ obstacles; age 16+.
- Oblivion Storm - 38K+ (4 laps of 12K); age 18+; 70+ obstacles per lap.
- Rush Rookies 1.5K - 25+ obstacles; age 4+.
- Rush Rookies 3K - 50+ obstacles; age 9–14.
- Rush Rookies Pro 3K - 50+ obstacles; age 9–14; mandatory obstacles with burpee penalty.
- Rush Family 1.5K - 25+ obstacles; age 4+.
- Rush Family 4K - 35+ obstacles; age 10+.

The event location is about 15 minutes from the A12, M25 and M11 and roughly 15 minutes by taxi from Brentwood or Epping stations.
