The event is a 10 km road race that starts at Brielle Elementary School on Union Lane in Brielle, New Jersey. The course runs on tree-lined, rolling-hill streets through the borough.
The course has established fast times, with a course record of 33:07 (2003) and an event record of 30:33 (1988). The organizer notes hilly streets and residential scenery along the route.
Registration opens in March 2027. Early registration fee is listed at $40; fees increase later to $50 and then to $55. Registration is online only. The race shirt guarantee ends on August 15. Pre-race shirt and bib pick up and in-person registration are scheduled on the Thursday and Friday before the race at Green Acres Park, with additional shirt and bib pick up and late registration available on race morning.
The race is part of the Brielle Day activities, which include awards and a raffle, more than one hundred crafters and vendors, carnival-style food and drinks, and community attractions hosted by the Brielle Fire Company such as a beer garden, music and fire truck rides. Awards include 10K sweatshirts for top finishers by gender, resident and occupation categories, and top three finishers in 10-year age groups; duplicate awards are not given and entry fees are non-refundable.
Many nearby streets will be closed on the day; parking is available in the Brielle Elementary School lot and on surrounding streets that remain open. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
