Bridgton 4 on the Fourth (2026)
Bridgton’s 4 on the Fourth is a summer road race held in Bridgton, Maine on July 4, 2026, marking the event's 50th consecutive July 4 race. The main event is a four-mile run/walk through the town and surrounding lake region.

The course begins in town and leads runners along a rolling route with a mix of hills, fields, and lake views, finishing with a faster final mile. The Kids Fun Run is held the day before and uses the school fields with volunteer support; parents may run with their children.
Logistics include bib pickup at Stevens Brook Elementary School (14 Frances Bell Drive, Bridgton, ME) and a start line on Main Street at Food City (295 Main Street, Bridgton, ME). Runners who register three weeks in advance are eligible for a personalized bib.
Amenities noted for the event include live/text/email results, free finish-line photos, and shirts for registrants: the first 500 registered receive a free official 2026 shirt while shirts remain; additional shirts are available for purchase and sizes are not guaranteed after June 25. The race benefits the Bridgton Public Library and local non-profits. Cash prizes are listed for the top five overall finishers in each gender, and age-group and local awards are also given.
