The Bridgton 4 on the Fourth is a road race held on July 4th in Bridgton, Maine. The main event is a 4 mile run/walk. A separate Kids Fun Run/Walk for children aged 3–10 is held the day before, on July 3rd, with distance options of ¼ mile, ½ mile, and 1 mile.

The race is described as a classic road race through Maine's lake region. The course starts in town and features a rolling route with hills, fields, and lake views, ending with a fast final mile. The main race start line is at Food City on Main Street. Bib pickup and limited parking are at Stevens Brook Elementary School.

Registration & Amenities

Registration is tiered, with early bird pricing available. The first 500 registered runners for the 4-mile event receive a free official t-shirt. Registrants who sign up three weeks in advance get a personalized bib. Other amenities include live results, free finish line photos, and free video.

Awards & Beneficiary

Cash awards are given to the top five male and female finishers in the 4-mile race. Additional awards are given for top Bridgton residents and top three finishers in each age group. The event benefits the Bridgton Public Library and local non-profits. The Kids Fun Run proceeds benefit the library's Children's Room.
