Bridgton's 4 on the Fourth
The 4 on the Fourth is a summer road race held in the heart of Maine’s lake region. The course starts in town and takes runners through a rolling route that passes hills, fields, and lake views, ending with a fast fourth mile and a finish near the town center.
Registration is not yet open. Early bib pickup is scheduled at white tents near the finish on Depot Street on July 2, July 3, and on race day July 4. A personalized bib is available for those who register three weeks in advance. Last-minute registrants within 24 hours can receive their bib number by text.
Amenities listed for the event include an official event shirt for the first 500 registered runners for 2026, limited shirt ordering deadlines, live and text and email results, free finish line photos, and on-site shirt sales at bib and shirt pickup.
An awards ceremony takes place near the finish line. Overall monetary prizes are offered for male and female finishers in the top five places, with specific amounts for first through fifth. Additional awards include top local Bridgton finishers, top three finishers in detailed age groups, and camp awards based on fastest average times when a minimum of five athletes score.
