Bridgton’s 4 on the Fourth
Registration for the 2027 edition is not yet open; registration will open ahead of the date listed on the event site and a notification sign-up is available. The event page includes information from the prior year's race for reference.
The previous race was held on July 4, 2026, and a Kids Fun Run took place on July 3, 2026. The race is presented as a summer road event in the heart of Maine’s lake region. The course begins in town and follows a rolling route with a mix of hills, fields, and lake views, concluding with a fast fourth mile and a finish near the start area.
Amenities noted for entrants include a free official 2026 t-shirt for the first 500 registered runners, limited shirt orders after June 24 with some shirts available at bib and shirt pickup, live/text/email results, free finish line photos, and a personalized bib for those registered three weeks in advance.
Overall cash awards are listed for top finishers: 1st $500, 2nd $400, 3rd $300, 4th $200, and 5th $100. Top local Bridgton finishers receive local gift certificates. Top three male and female finishers are awarded in multiple age groups from 8 & Under through 85+. Camp awards and top individual camp placements are also recorded and announced.
