TGA Consulting Bridges of the Tyne 2026
Held on 30 June 2026 on Newcastle Quayside and organised by Tyne Bridge Harriers, this event includes a senior 5 mile road race and a separate 1 mile junior race. The main course is a mainly flat out and back route along the quayside that passes seven of the Tyne bridges.
Race headquarters and registration for the 5 mile event are at The Tyne Bar on Maling Street, located about 800 metres from the start, with an area set aside for baggage. The junior race has its own registration at Malmo Quay. A transfer period will be available for entries.
Entry fees are listed per race with a reduction for UKA members. Minimum ages are specified: 15 for the 5 mile race and 10 to 14 for the junior 1 mile. The junior race awards prizes to the first three male and female finishers and all junior entrants receive a commemorative medal.
Clubs compete for the Kevin Cheetham Trophy, awarded to the club with the lowest combined finishing positions for the first senior female, first veteran female V40, first senior male and first veteran male V40.
