Bridge Builder 5K
The Bridge Builder 5K Run takes place on May 23, 2026, at Rail Road Park in downtown Birmingham, located at 1600 1st Avenue South, Birmingham, AL 35233. The event is in its fifth year and features a 5K running event open to runners and walkers from the local area.
The race is organized and conducted through the efforts of volunteers from the Omega Scholarship and Benevolence Fund (OSBF) and the Alpha Phi Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Incorporated. Registration opens March 1, 2026, and closes May 1, 2026, with a registration fee of $35.00.
OSBF is a 501(c)(3) organization that provides scholarships and benevolent funding to students and organizations for educational needs; it also supports public and community service initiatives and programs addressing youth issues. The Birmingham Omega Lamplighters is a 501(c)(3) youth leadership mentoring organization serving young men ages 12 to 18. Its program provides mentoring, positive role models, interpersonal skill development, and efforts to help participants become contributing adults in their communities.
