Blazer Bolt for Brain Cancer 5K
The Blazer Bolt for Brain Cancer 5K is a mid-May event in Birmingham, Alabama centered at Railroad Park, 1600 First Ave South. The program includes an in-person 5K and a Fun Run plus virtual options that allow participants to complete a 5K or a 1 mile fun run on their own route. A Family Strong activity is scheduled the day before at The Hill Center.

Packet and T-shirt distribution is available the day before at Trak Shak South 18th Street in Homewood and on the main event day at Railroad Park. Registrations submitted by April 17, 2026 are guaranteed a race T-shirt and size. Virtual participants who register by the deadline may request that their shirt be mailed.
The event includes a Survivor and Memorial Walk that does not require separate registration. Results use chip timing with age group awards by five year increments starting at age 10, plus overall and masters awards. Entry fees are non refundable.
Blazer Bolt Inc. is a 501(c)(3) organization (Tax Exempt ID 47-4030497). Proceeds are designated to support the UAB Division of Neuro Oncology and Children’s of Alabama Neuro Oncology for adult and pediatric brain cancer research and patient support services.
