BreatheFL 5K Run/Walk Turkey Trot - Fort Walton Beach, FL
The BreatheFL 5K Run/Walk Turkey Trot is a community 5K event held at Ferry Park in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. The outdoor course begins and ends at Ferry Park and includes no time limit for completion. There are two water/aid stations along the course: one approximately halfway and another at the finish.
The event supports BreatheFL Inc., a nonprofit that assists families of children living with chronic respiratory illnesses. Funds raised help provide resources, assistance, programs, and community support for these families.
Every participant who registers by November 1 is guaranteed a commemorative race shirt and participation medal; shirts for later registrations are distributed while supplies last. Registration fees are non-refundable. The event is scheduled to proceed rain or shine.
Awards are presented across multiple divisions. The overall winner receives a trophy and a grand prize. Adult division awards recognize the top three male and top three female finishers. Youth divisions include top-three awards for ages 13–17 and for ages 12 and under.
A post-race celebration at Ferry Park follows the finish and features music, food, vendors, an awards ceremony, and a kids zone. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
