11th Annual Breanna Vergara 5K & Color Run : Miami Lakes, FL
The 11th Annual Breanna Vergara 5K and Color Run takes place on Sunday, February 22, 2026, at Veterans Park (formerly Miami Lakes West Park) in Miami Lakes, Florida. The event is the primary annual fundraiser for the Breanna Vergara Foundation, a nonprofit organization that advocates for pediatric heart health and supports initiatives for awareness and early detection of heart conditions in children.
Event formats include:
- 5K Run - timed, USATF-certified course with official times and awards
- 1 Mile Color Fun Run - family-friendly color run experience
- Combo - participation in both the 5K run and the 1 mile color run
On event day there will be on-site registration and packet pickup, and a community area with activities, music, and entertainment following the runs. Official race times will be posted for the timed 5K and top finishers receive recognition during an awards presentation. Participants who complete registration before January 22 are guaranteed a commemorative race day shirt and may be eligible for early packet pickup; registrations after that date do not have a guaranteed shirt.
