The Break the Silence for Domestic Violence 5K Run/Walk takes place on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at Tibbetts Brook Park, 355 Midland Ave., Yonkers, NY. The event is held rain or shine. Logistics and support
Proceeds from the event will go to Hope’s Door to support domestic violence education, protective services, housing, advocacy and legal services. The event includes a children’s zone with arts activities and supervised care as an add-on. Amenities listed include live online/text/email results, free finish-line photos, and personalized bibs for those who register at least three weeks before the event. Awards are planned for top finishers: top three male and female overall, top three kids under 17, and top three teams by fastest combined time (teams must have a minimum of three members to score). Early bib pickup is scheduled the day before the event at the Yonkers Police Athletic League; day-of pickup is available through event staff. Registration fees vary by age category.
