Break the Silence for Domestic Violence 5K Run/Walk
The Break the Silence for Domestic Violence 5K Run/Walk takes place on Saturday, October 10, 2026 at Tibbetts Brook Park, 355 Midland Avenue, Yonkers, NY. The event uses the park loop trail, a pedestrian, tree lined path around the lake, with start and finish near the Pavilion.
The event raises awareness of domestic violence, honors those lost, and offers support for survivors. All proceeds are designated for YCAP, Yonkers Community Action Program. Westchester County Parks and Recreations is listed as an event partner.
Participant amenities include live online, text, and email results, free finish line photos, and personalized bibs for registrations completed three weeks in advance. A T shirt is included for registrations completed by September 12. Awards are planned for top finishers including top three male and female overall, top three kids under 17 regardless of gender, and top three teams by fastest combined time with a minimum team size requirement.
