Break the Silence for Domestic Violence 5K Run/Walk
This event is a community 5K run and walk held on October 10, 2026 at Tibbetts Brook Park, 355 Midland Ave, Yonkers, NY. The course follows the park loop trail, a pedestrian, tree lined path around the lake. The start and finish are located near the Pavilion.
The event raises awareness about domestic violence and directs proceeds to YCAP, Yonkers Community Action Program. Westchester County Parks and Recreations is listed as a partner for the morning activities.
Participant amenities include live online, text, and email results, free finish line photos, and personalized bibs for registrations made three weeks before the event. A race T shirt is included for those registered by September 12. Registration fees are nonrefundable and vary by age category; published examples include approximately $38.98 for adults 18 to 64, $28.63 for adults 65 and over, and $23.45 for participants 17 and under.
Awards are given to the top three male and female overall finishers, the top three kids under 17 regardless of gender, and the top three teams by fastest combined time with a minimum of three team members to score.
