Break the Silence for Domestic Violence 5K Run/Walk
The event is a community 5K Run/Walk held on October 10, 2026 at Tibbetts Brook Park Pavilion, 355 Midland Ave., Yonkers, NY 10704. The route uses the park loop trail, a pedestrian, tree lined path around the lake, with start and finish near the pavilion.
The event raises awareness about domestic violence, honors those lost, and supports survivors. All proceeds will go to YCAP, Yonkers Community Action Program. Westchester County Parks and Recreations is involved in the morning program.
Registration is paid and nonrefundable. Published registration fees include examples for the 5K: Adult (18–64) $38.98, Adult 65 and over $28.63, Child 17 and under $23.45; fees may vary with processing or donation options. A race shirt is included for registrations completed by September 12. Personalized bibs are available when registered at least three weeks before the event. Bib pickup is handled on event day and participants must know their bib number to collect it.
Event services include live online/text/email results, free finish line photos, same-day finish line video, and team entries with awards for top teams (minimum three members to score). Awards are listed for top three overall men and women, top three kids under 17 regardless of gender, and top three teams by combined time. Volunteer opportunities are available.
