Event Overview
The Brazen New Year's Eve event takes place on December 31, 2026 at Lake Chabot in Castro Valley, California. It is a trail running event featuring three distances on that day.

Event Details
The event supports the East Bay Regional Parks Campership Program. There is also a related event on New Year's Day, January 1, 2027. Runners who participate in both events can earn a special "Brazen New Year Mega-Medal." Each race is a separate event and requires its own registration.
A remote participation option is available. Separate start times are listed for each distance, as well as a specific "Hiker start" for walkers participating in the half marathon who anticipate taking longer than approximately 3.5 to 4 hours.
