Event Overview
The Bradleys Exmouth Spring race is a road running event held along the seafront in Exmouth. Now in its eighth year, the event features a flat course on tarmac and hard-surfaced footpaths. The route is officially measured and carries a Course Measurement Certificate (No. 22/387). Participants can choose between two main distances:
- 5 km
- 10 km
The race starts and finishes at the Sideshore complex on the Exmouth Seafront. Runners head toward Orcombe Point, loop around the flagpole, and continue along the full length of the beachfront. The 5 km runners complete one circuit, while the 10 km participants complete two laps of the route. Because the course follows public footpaths, the path remains open to other users such as pedestrians and cyclists.
Facilities and Timing
The event uses electronic chip timing for all participants. The course is fully marked with fluorescent arrows and supported by marshals. On-site facilities include race number collection and a baggage drop area located near the start. To support environmental initiatives, the organizers offer a "No Medal" entry option at a reduced price. Participants who wish to receive a medal must select the specific entry category.
Trophies are awarded to the top three overall finishers and age category winners in both open and female divisions. Both the Spring and Autumn editions use the same course, allowing runners to compare their performance across the different seasons. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
