Dartmouth Triathlon
The Dartmouth Triathlon takes place at Blackpool Sands Beach and includes open water swimming, a bike stage on a circular course, and an out and back run along Blackpool Valley Road following a stream to the turn.
Swim, bike and run options include:
- Sprint and standard triathlon with a circular bike course
- Sprint and standard aquabike options
- Sprint and standard relay teams
- Sea swims on the Saturday evening: 750 m, 1500 m and 3 km
The bike course can be one lap for the sprint or two laps for the standard distance. A second bike drop transition on the other side of the A379 removes a previous road crossing on the run.
Entry numbers for the triathlons are limited to 350. Camping on the beach is available the night before for an additional charge.
Event services and items listed for participants include a silicone swim hat and a Sportiva water bottle, full water safety provided by Teignmouth Beach Surf Life Saving Club, electronic chip timing with transition splits, feed stations and numbered racking. Medals are awarded to all finishers. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
