Dartmouth Triathlon - Blackpool Sands

The Dartmouth Triathlon is held at Blackpool Sands Beach and includes open-water swimming, a circular bike course and an out and back run up Blackpool Valley Road. The swim takes place in the clear waters at Blackpool Sands. The bike uses a circular course with one lap for the sprint distance and two laps for the standard distance. The run follows a stream that rises gently to the turnaround.

Entry numbers for the triathlons are limited to 350. Event types listed include Standard Triathlon, Standard Aquabike, Sprint Triathlon, Sprint Triathlon Relay (teams of two or three) and Sprint Aquabike. Entry fees range from £65 to £90 depending on event and category.

Safety and event services provided include full water safety from Teignmouth Beach Surf Life Saving Club, electronic chip timing with transition splits, feed stations and numbered racking. All finishers receive medals. Participants are given a silicone swim hat and a Sportiva water bottle. There is an option to camp at Blackpool Sands the night before for an additional charge.
