Boyne City Independence Day Run
The Boyne City Independence Day Run takes place on July 4, 2026 in Downtown Boyne City at Peninsula Beach Park, 310 Front St, Boyne City, MI 49712. The event features professionally timed distances and has drawn up to 1,200 participants in recent years.
The racing program includes the following distances:
- 5 Miles - professionally timed; fee $35; no-shirt option $30.
- 2 Miles - run/walk, professionally timed; fee $30; no-shirt option $25.
Registration opens April 6, 2026 and closes July 4, 2026. Fees differ by distance and a no-shirt selection reduces the entry fee by $5 during registration.
The run coincides with the Boyne City 4th of July Festival and a parade. The day also includes music, activities and games, and an evening fireworks show as part of the festival.
