Bay of Fundy International Marathon
The Bay of Fundy International Marathon weekend takes place June 21, 2026, between Lubec, Maine and Campobello Island, New Brunswick. The event program includes a marathon, a half marathon, and a 10k, with courses that cross the international border by way of the Franklin Delano Roosevelt Memorial Bridge and Lubec Narrows. The marathon course is certified by Athletics Canada and USATF.

Courses run along roads with ocean and harbor views and pass two lighthouses. The half marathon contains about 4.8 miles (7.7 km) of dirt road through Roosevelt Campobello International Park. Aid stations with water and electrolytes are placed approximately every 2 miles. Bus transportation to the start and finisher medals are provided. Time limits and minimum pace requirements apply: marathon 7 hours (minimum 16:02 min/mile), half marathon 4 hours (minimum 18:20 min/mile), 10k 2 hours (minimum 20:00 min/mile).
Runners in the marathon and half marathon do not stop at the border during the race but must be pre-cleared by both Canadian and U.S. border agencies before the event. Passport or travel document information must be supplied during registration and runners must pass through border stations on the Friday or Saturday before the race. Race bibs are valid for crossing only during the race and must be clearly visible when passing border stations. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
