Bay of Fundy International Marathon
The Bay of Fundy International Marathon takes place in Lubec, Maine, USA on June 21, 2026. The event is organized as a cross-border race between the United States and Canada and includes multiple race distances and fundraising options.
Distances offered:
- 42.2k Marathon (26.2 miles)
- 21.1k Half Marathon (13.1 miles)
- 10k (6.2 miles)
The marathon and half marathon cross the Canada USA border multiple times during the course. Runners in those distances must provide passport or other travel documentation valid for travel in both countries; these documents are reviewed by border agents during bib pick-up and pre-race clearances. The 10k remains entirely within the United States and does not cross the border. The 10k course is point-to-point from West Quoddy Head Lighthouse to the heart of Lubec.
There are separate registration sites for USA and Canadian payments; US residents are asked to use the USA registration site and Canadian residents the Canadian site, while participants from other countries may register on either site. Charity Bibs are available in limited quantity and require a minimum fundraising commitment of $250. The event follows the standard no refunds policy. Deferrals and participant transfers are permitted within established deadlines and fees, and upgrades or downgrades in distance may be allowed if capacity permits.
Photo identification is required at bib pick-up and pre-clearance procedures occur in the days before the race. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
