Event Overview
The Bay of Fundy International Marathon is a running event offering three race distances: a marathon (42.2 km), a half marathon (21.1 km), and a 10 km. It takes place on June 21, 2026, in Campobello Island, New Brunswick, Canada.
Race Details
The marathon and half marathon courses cross the international border between the USA and Canada multiple times. Runners in these events do not stop at the border during the race but must have valid travel documentation (such as a passport) for both countries. This documentation is reviewed by border agents in the days before the event during bib pick-up. The 10 km course stays entirely within the USA.
There are separate registration sites for Canadian residents (prices in Canadian dollars) and USA residents (prices in US dollars). Participants from other countries may register on either site.
The event supports local non-profit charities: the Campobello Island Community Food Bank and the Lubec Community Food Pantry. A community fund also exists to help cover registration fees for those unable to afford them.
Event Policies
Registration includes a deferral option for any reason until May 1, 2026, with a $5 processing fee. Transfers between participants and distance upgrades or downgrades are also permitted.
