Bay of Fundy International Marathon : June 21, 2026
The Bay of Fundy International event features a marathon, a half marathon, and a 10K held between Lubec, Maine and Campobello, New Brunswick on June 21, 2026. Courses run along coastal roads with extended water and harbor views and pass two lighthouses. The marathon course is certified by Athletics Canada and USATF and crosses the international border via the Franklin Delano Roosevelt Memorial Bridge and Lubec Narrows, passing Roosevelt Campobello International Park and Head Harbor Light before finishing along Water Street in Lubec. The marathon starts at West Quoddy Lighthouse, the most easterly point in the United States.
Border rules apply to the marathon and half marathon. Runners in those events do not need to stop at the border during the race but must be pre-cleared by both Canadian and US border agencies before race day. Runners must provide passport or travel document information during registration and present themselves for clearance at the Campobello Island and Lubec border stations on the Friday or Saturday before the race. Race bibs must be visible during the race and are valid for crossing only while the race is in progress.
Event services include bus transportation to the starts, aid stations with water and electrolytes approximately every two miles, finisher medals for all participants, and specific course time limits and minimum pace requirements for each distance.
