Born to Run - New Orleans
The event takes place on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at the Bonnabel Boat Launch in Metairie, LA (1599 Bonnabel Blvd). It offers organized runs in two distance formats and separate entry categories by age.
Events include:
- Half mile fun run for children, students and adults
- 5K run for children, students and adults
Entry categories are child (ages 1-12), student (ages 13-22) and adult (ages 21-100). The published registration fees are $20 for child events, $25 for student events and $35 for adult events. Registration deadlines and fee details are provided by the organizer; t-shirts are only guaranteed for participants who register by Monday, February 23. Mail-in registration has its own deadline for t-shirt eligibility and a separate final mail-in cutoff.
The event supports Woman’s New Life Clinic, a counseling and medical clinic serving women facing unplanned pregnancies in the Greater New Orleans and Baton Rouge areas. Minors must have a parent or guardian signature for registration, including on-site day-of registration. The day includes a post race "Birth"day Party with free food and music, opportunity to win race prizes, event t-shirts, free parking and a shuttle service from St. Angela Merici Catholic Church to Bonnabel Boat Launch.
