Crescent City Classic 10K

The Crescent City Classic is an annual USATF sanctioned and certified 10,000 meters (6.2 miles) point-to-point road race in New Orleans produced by the Crescent City Classic Foundation, a not-for-profit 501(c)(3). The course starts in front of the Caesars Superdome in Downtown New Orleans, proceeds through the French Quarter and along Esplanade Avenue, and finishes inside New Orleans City Park near Lelong Avenue under large live oak trees. For safety, bikes, rollerblades, skates and pets other than service animals are not allowed on the course.

The event includes a free two-day Health & Fitness Expo at the Hyatt Regency New Orleans and a RaceFest in City Park with live music, food, an award ceremony, a costume contest and a Family Fun Zone with inflatables and activities for children. Shuttle buses provide complimentary transportation between City Park and the start area for participants. Race bibs and t-shirts must be picked up at the Health & Fitness Expo the Thursday and Friday before the race; there is no race day bib pickup. Mailed bibs are available for an additional $15 with a registration deadline listed on the registration site.

Registration fees range from $55 to $80 depending on date. Children age five and under enter free but do not receive a bib, t-shirt or medal. A $5 discount is offered to military members and first responders. Entry fees are nonrefundable. A virtual CCC10K option allows participants to complete the 6.2 miles on race day and receive a mailed packet.

The Run For It charity program supports local partners with a goal to raise $1,000,000 annually; charity registrants have a discounted registration rate and must raise a minimum per-registrant amount to qualify for incentives, including a full registration refund if fundraising targets are met. Seeded corrals require proof of qualifying times from the previous calendar year and seeded placement is verified before the race. Official awards include prize money for top overall finishers and age group and team recognitions. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
