Crescent City Classic 10K (CCC10K)
The Crescent City Classic is an annual 10 km road race held in New Orleans on the Saturday before Easter Sunday. Produced by the Crescent City Classic Foundation, a not-for-profit 5013c entity, the event uses a USATF sanctioned and certified 10,000-meter course.
The course starts in front of the Caesars Superdome on Poydras Street and proceeds through the French Quarter, along Esplanade Avenue, and finishes inside New Orleans City Park near Lelong Avenue by the New Orleans Museum of Art. The route passes historical Jackson Square and Cafe Du Monde. For safety, no bikes, rollerblades, skates or pets other than service animals are allowed on the course. Chip timing is used and official results record chip times.
Event components include a free two-day Health & Fitness Expo at the Hyatt Regency, the Michelob Ultra RaceFest with live music, food, an award ceremony and a costume contest, and a Family Fun Zone with kid-friendly activities. A virtual CCC10K option allows participants to complete all 6.2 miles in one outing on race day and receive mailed race packets afterwards.
The Run For It charity program seeks to raise $1 million annually for local charities; charity registrants must raise a minimum of $200 and may receive a discounted registration rate. All entrants receive a timed race bib, commemorative t-shirt, finisher’s medallion, and complimentary shuttle transportation.
