Boots and Blooms 5K
The Boots and Blooms 5K is a memorial run and walk held annually on the first Saturday in October in New Bern, North Carolina. The event offers both an in-person 5K at Martin Marietta Park and a virtual 5K option with an open window in early October.

Registration opens January 26 and closes August 30. The fee for each entry is $30. Participants who register by September 5 are guaranteed a T-shirt, with the shirt order placed the first week of September.
The course uses the Dragonfly trail and adjacent trails to complete a 5K distance. The trail surface is improved gravel with minimal elevation changes. Participants may walk, run, or use a jogging stroller; umbrella strollers are noted as suitable for the trail. There is one water station along the course and light refreshments after the event.
Proceeds from the event are used to assist bereaved families. Awards include medals for the top three male and female overall finishers and top male and female finishers in these age groups: 0-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60 and older.
