The Book It! Friends of the Waterford Library event is a community 5K held on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at the Waterford Civic Center, 5050 Civic Center Drive, Waterford, MI 48329. The program supports the Waterford Township Public Library. The event is family friendly and welcomes children and pets. Timing will be used for the 5K and results will be posted online. The event also features an online silent auction of items donated by sponsors.
Registration and race day
There are multiple event options including a 5K run, a 5K walk, and a Fun Run/Walk. Entry fees listed are $30 for the 5K run and 5K walk, and $25 for the Fun Run/Walk. Entry includes a commemorative event t-shirt, a finisher medal, a chance to win sponsor gifts, and a complimentary children’s book for students. Discounts apply: $5 off for participants aged 18 and under, and $5 off per member for groups of five or more. Register by Sunday, April 19, 2026, to guarantee a t-shirt and children’s book.
