Bold for Gold Tour 3K - Arlington
The Jacob Way Organization is launching the national Bold for Gold Tour in Arlington on December 5, 2026. The event centers on a scenic 3K course along the paved concrete trails of Bob Cooke Park and a community resource fair held with Arlington Parks and Recreation - East Recreation Center at 1817 New York Avenue, Arlington, TX 76010.
This community event includes in-person and virtual participation options. In-person categories list a Gold Hero (adult) and Junior Hero (youth 12 and under), both using the 1.86 mile course. A Virtual Hero option is available for remote supporters. Reported registration fees are $35 for the adult category, $15 for youth, and $45 for the virtual option. Registrations are non-refundable.
Race-day packet pickup is located inside the East Library & Recreation Center Hall; participants should bring a photo ID or confirmation email. Primary parking is available at the Recreation Center main lot. Strollers are permitted on the paved course. Leashed dogs are allowed outdoors on the walk/run; only service animals are permitted inside the Recreation Center during indoor activities.
The organizers state the event will run rain or shine and that the indoor gymnasium is reserved for pre-race warm-up, a vendor market, and post-race awards in poor weather. Volunteer roles and a charitable "Stuff the Vehicle" drive are part of the event. Donations for the drive must be new and unwrapped; priority items include socks, board games, headphones, tablets, and craft kits. No stuffed animals or used items. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
