Bold for Gold Tour 3K
The Bold for Gold Tour 3K in Arlington is a charity event supporting families affected by childhood cancer through the Jacob Way Organization. Hosted at Bob Cooke Park in partnership with Arlington Parks and Recreation, the event serves as a community gathering to raise awareness and provide assistance to those undergoing treatment.
The event features a scenic walk and run on paved concrete trails, making the course accessible for participants using strollers or wagons. The main activity is a 3K (1.86 miles) distance, which is open to both adults and youth participants.

The event takes place at the East Library and Recreation Center, which serves as the hub for pre-race activities and post-race celebrations. Primary parking is located at the center's main lot at 1817 New York Avenue. If weather conditions are unfavorable, activities such as the pre-race warm-up, vendor market, and awards ceremony are moved inside the gymnasium.
Participants receive an official event t-shirt, a finisher medal, and access to finish line snacks. The morning includes a Community Resource Fair, music, and a door prize drawing. The "Stuff the Vehicle" drive also takes place on-site, collecting new, unwrapped items like socks, board games, and electronics for hospital patients. Leashed dogs are permitted on the outdoor trails, while only service animals are allowed inside the recreation center. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
