The Spooky Sprint is an annual Halloween-themed running event held at Big Creek State Park in Polk City, Iowa. The event offers several distance options and includes a virtual race option.

Registration Details
Registration includes a custom race bib and a finisher medal. For the timed events (5k, 10k, and Half Marathon), registration also includes a designer shirt. The untimed 1 Mile and Kids Dash registrations include a shirt and a medal as well. There is youth-based pricing for the 5k and 10k for participants 12 and under.
Event Features
The race uses chip timing with live results posted. There are awards for overall and age group winners in the timed events. Free photos are taken at the finish line, where treats are provided. Packet pickup is available on race day. A store offers race swag and merchandise, and a membership program provides early registration access and discounts.
Course and Participation
The courses are located within local parks to minimize community impact. Course maps are available online. The event proceeds regardless of weather, with cancellation only in cases of venue closure or dangerous ice hazards; participants would then be transferred to the virtual event.
