To Grandmother's House We Go
To Grandmother's House We Go is a fall trail running event planned for October 24, 2026, in Brown's Woods, West Des Moines, Iowa. The event offers three loop-based distances on single and double track dirt trails that go deep into the woods. The outermost loop measures 5K; longer distances are completed by repeating that loop.
Registration for the event opens June 1, 2026, and closes October 1, 2026. The listed registration fee is $40.00 for each race. Packet pickup is scheduled for Friday, October 23.

Walkers may participate and are encouraged to register for one of the shorter races. The course will remain open for three hours on race day. Dogs are not permitted on the course during the event due to insurance restrictions. Proceeds support local trail efforts, including Des Moines' dirt trail systems, the Stewards of Brown's Woods, and the Capital Striders.
