Heatwave Half Marathon - Lincoln
This event is scheduled for 08/01/2026 at Holmes Lake Park, 70th & Normal, Lincoln, NE 68506. Multiple race options are offered across distances and formats at the same venue and date.
Distances and formats include:
- Kids Dash : 50 meters for ages 10 and under
- 1 Mile : untimed fun run
- 5K
- 10K
- Half-Marathon : 13.1 Miles
- Half-Marathon Relay : 13.1 Miles per team entry
- Volunteer Then Run : volunteer before running any distance
- Virtual Race : run any day at any location
Most in-person race registrations include a custom bib, a designer shirt, and a finisher medal. Chip-timing with live results and awards is provided for selected distances. Free photos are available and there is free ice cream at the finish.
Youth-based pricing applies for some events; ages 12 and under are listed at $17 for eligible distances. Several events note a registration deadline phrased as "register by midnight on Thursday, two Thursdays before race day" to guarantee a shirt. The virtual entry includes a digital bib, event shirt, finisher medal, packet shipping, and packets will be mailed the Wednesday after the race.
The Half-Marathon Relay specifies that each team member registers individually and teams can be formed after registration. The Volunteer Then Run option asks volunteers to arrive 30 minutes before packet pickup. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
