Summer Sizzler - Lincoln
The Summer Sizzler - Lincoln is an annual multi-distance running event held at Holmes Lake Park in Lincoln, Nebraska. This event provides various options for participants of different ages and fitness levels, including competitive timed races and untimed fun runs.
The event features several distance options:
- 15K (three laps of the designated course)
- 10K (two laps of the designated course)
- 5K
- 1 Mile (untimed)
- Kids Dash (untimed, for ages 10 and under)
- Virtual (at your own location)
The 15K, 10K, and 5K races are chip-timed, with live results and awards available immediately following the finish. Registration for these distances includes a custom bib, a designer shirt, and a finisher medal. The 1 Mile and Kids Dash are designed as untimed events; participants in these categories receive a shirt and a specific medal or pin. Children 10 and under are permitted to participate in the Kids Dash for free if they do not wish to receive the event gear.
Participants in the timed distances are eligible for awards across various age groups, from 10 and under up to 80 plus, including overall and masters categories. The event takes place at Holmes Lake Park, utilizing the local park system to provide the running courses. Amenities provided at the finish line include free photos and refreshments.
