Spooky Sprint - Grand Rapids
The Spooky Sprint - Grand Rapids is a Halloween-themed sports event held at Caledonia High School in Michigan. This annual event includes a variety of distances to accommodate different participants, including timed competitive races and untimed fun runs.
The available event distances and categories include:
- Half Marathon
- 10k
- 5k
- 1 Mile (untimed)
- Kids Dash (untimed for ages 10 and under)
- Virtual Race
Participants in the 5k, 10k, and Half Marathon receive chip-timing with live results and eligibility for age group awards. These awards are provided for the top three male and female finishers in several age blocks, ranging from 10 and under to 80 and over, as well as overall and masters categories.
The event features several holiday-themed activities, including a costume contest, trick-or-treat aid stations, and a live DJ playing seasonal music. Registration for most distances include a designer shirt, a custom bib, and a finisher medal. For those unable to attend in person, the virtual option allows participants to complete their chosen distance at any location and receive their medal and shirt via mail.
