Bee Brave 5K Run/Walk
The Bee Brave 5K Run/Walk is scheduled for Oct. 3, 2026 at Shagbark Farms in Caledonia, Michigan, hosted by Van Andel Institute. The event is the 19th annual edition and takes place at the venue listed as Bee Brave 5K – Shagbark Farms, 7500 Alaska Avenue SE, Caledonia, MI 49316.
Participants can choose from three registration options: a timed run, an untimed walk, or a virtual 5K. The standard registration fee is $30 and includes the official 2026 Bee Brave 5K T-shirt. To be guaranteed the race shirt, registrants must register by Tuesday, Sept. 22. Early registration closes at 11:59 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 21. Late online registration is available for $40 beginning Sept. 22 and continuing until the event.
Bee Brave focuses on raising funds for breast cancer research at Van Andel Institute. Since 2016 the event has raised more than $1,000,000 to support breakthrough research. All money raised through Bee Brave events remains in Grand Rapids, and one hundred percent of race registrations go directly to breast cancer research. The events are organized by volunteers and supported by local business sponsors. Sponsorship opportunities are part of the event structure to support ongoing research efforts.
