Bobby Doyle Summer Classic 5-Miler
The event is presented as a living memorial to a brother, father, coach, and friend and takes place on August 9, 2026, in Narragansett, Rhode Island. The venue is Narragansett Pier Middle School at 235 South Pier Road.
The primary competition is a USATF certified 5 Mile road course with panoramic ocean views and chip timing for all participants. A 2-Mile Fun Run/Walk was added for 2026; that distance does not include a medal. All registered participants receive a technical t-shirt and the first 700 finishers in the 5-Mile receive medals.
The event offers a total prize purse of $6,500 with awards across age divisions including Open, 40+, 50+, 60+, 70+, and 80+. All pre-registered runners are entered in a post-race raffle that includes $1,250 in gift cards to Rhode Runner. Beverages and snacks are provided after the race. Girls and boys high school winners earn one free pair of shoes, with student status required.
