Bobby Doyle Summer Classic
The Bobby Doyle Summer Classic is a community running event held on August 9, 2026, in Narragansett, Rhode Island, based at Narragansett Middle School (235 S Pier Rd, Narragansett, RI 02882).

- 5 mile run
- 2 mile Fun Run/Walk
The 5 mile course is USA Track and Field certified and was re-mapped and re-certified for official distance in 2025. The route runs through scenic Narragansett with waterfront and ocean views. Water stations are located at miles 1.42, 2.75, 4.05 and at the finish; participants are advised to bring personal fluids prior to the start if conditions are hot.
Awards and services include a total cash purse of $6,650 with tiered prizes for Open, Masters (40+), Seniors (50+), Veterans (60+), Grand Veterans (70+) and Great Grand Veterans (80+) divisions, plus a $150 course record bonus. The first 700 finishers in the 5 mile race will receive custom medals. All registered runners receive a technical T-shirt. A pre-registered raffle offers gift cards and merchandise, with $1,100 in gift cards donated by Rhode Runner Sports. Post-race refreshments will be available on the school grounds. Indoor restrooms and additional portable restrooms will be on site.
Packet pick-up is available ahead of race day at Rhode Runner and on race day at Narragansett Middle School. Scholarships are awarded to male and female high school students. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
