Event overview
The Signal Hill Rotary Mutt Run takes place on February 21, 2026, starting at the Claremont Launch Ramp, 5350 E. Ocean Blvd. The course follows the Long Beach shoreline and finishes at a post-race festival. An adoption event by Long Beach Animal Care Services will be held at the finish area during the festival. The field is limited to 300 participants. Teams of family, friends, or co-workers may be formed. All human participants receive a T-shirt.

All breeds of dogs are welcome. Dogs must be leashed, stay on the pedestrian path, and be well-behaved and non-aggressive with people and other dogs. Participants may run or walk at their own pace. Paid parking is available; it is $2 for the first hour at the 54th & Claremont lot and the adjacent La Verne lot. Seventy percent of net proceeds will support Long Beach Animal Care Services for urgently needed supplies. Thirty percent will go to the Signal Hill Rotary community project fund.
