Event overview
The Signal Hill Rotary Mutt Run is a dog-friendly running event along the Long Beach shoreline. The course starts at the Claremont Launch Ramp at 5350 E. Ocean Blvd and finishes at a festival area where an adoption event is held by Long Beach Animal Care Services. Distances offered include:

Participants may run or walk, with or without a dog. All dog breeds are welcome.
Participation, rules and proceeds
The event is limited to 300 participants. Human participants receive T-shirts. Dogs must be leashed, remain on the pedestrian path, and be well-behaved and non-aggressive with people and other dogs. An adoption event by Long Beach Animal Care Services takes place at the finish line and during the post-race festival.
Paid parking is available at the 54th & Claremont lot and the adjacent La Verne lot; the first hour costs $2. Seventy percent of proceeds will support Long Beach Animal Care Services for urgently needed supplies, and thirty percent will go to the Signal Hill Rotary community project fund.
