Bob Hendricks Memorial 5k Run/Walk
The Bob Hendricks Memorial 5k Run/Walk is the 2nd annual event held at River Road Park in Bedminster, New Jersey. The race uses a USATF certified, sanctioned course on clearly marked paved paths that connect River Road Park to the Bedminster police station. The route is described as flat and includes a pedestrian bridge over the highway. An in-person 5K and a virtual 5K option are both offered.
Race registration, the start area, and the finish are located near the dog park. Parking is available along the first set of fields. Event items and services include finisher medals, T shirts for in-person racers while supplies last, free race day and finisher photos, and a free finish line video. Awards are given to the top three male and female overall finishers and to the top three male and female finishers in 10-year age groups.
The event honors Bob Hendricks and raises funds to donate to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network to support research and screening efforts.
