Bob Hendricks Memorial 5k Run/Walk
The Bob Hendricks Memorial 5K is scheduled for early October at River Road Park, 3055 River Road, Bedminster, NJ. The event is offered as an in-person 5K and a virtual 5K option.
The course is USATF certified and follows clearly marked paved paths connecting River Road Park to the Bedminster Police station. The route is described as flat and includes one pedestrian bridge over the highway. Registration, start, and finish locations are near the dog park, and parking is available along the first set of fields.
Registration fees vary by date: early bird before July 3 is $30, pre-registration before September 3 is $35, and after September 4 is $40. Race shirts are available to in-person racers while supplies last and through the pre-registration cutoff. Packet pick-up is held the day before at The Dunellen Hotel.
Awards are given to the top three overall male and female finishers and to the top three male and female finishers in 10-year age groups. The event provides free race day and finisher photos, a free finish line video, and finisher medals. Proceeds support Project Purple to fund pancreatic cancer research and patient aid.
