The Morris Hot Cocoa 5K + 10K takes place on Saturday, December 13, 2025 in Morris Plains, New Jersey. Distances offered:
- 5K (3.1 miles)
- 10K (6.2 miles)
Entry items include a medal, a long-sleeved shirt, and hot cocoa with a mug. The first 200 registered participants receive a shirt; an event-themed medal is provided. Registration fees listed are $35 for the 5K and $40 for the 10K. Group and team discounts are available. Prices increase after November 13, 2025. All race proceeds support St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Course and logistics
The course is an all-grassy, multi-loop trail with no road crossings and some hills. Terrain includes dirt, grass, gravel, and hills; trail shoes are encouraged. There is no time limit on the course. Finish-line refreshments include complimentary hot cocoa and bundt cakes provided by Nothing Bundt Cakes of Morristown.
Location details note the event address as 1 Governor Chris Christie Drive, Parsippany-Troy Hills (Morris Plains), NJ. Entrance is via the North Cottage Road entrance of Morris County Park (GPS latitude 40.834866, longitude -74.503507). Parking is available on the grass, in large lots next to the soccer fields, and along the park road. Runner check-in is located near the top of the park. Real bathrooms and portable toilets are on site. Pre-race bib and shirt pickup is available at Fleet Feet, Morristown on Friday, December 12 (2:00–7:00 pm); day-of packet pickup is also offered.
