Boathouse Oyster Bar 5K
The event is a 5K road race in Destin, FL held on June 20, 2026. Proceeds benefit the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation in memory of Forrest Dalton.
Parking and the start/finish area are located in the Marler Street parking lot at the corner of Marler Street, Highway 98, and Mountain Drive; the lot charges a $5 fee for 24 hours. Packet pickup occurs in the Marler Street parking lot on the morning of the event. The course includes two water stops that are passed twice, for a total of four water opportunities.
All participants receive a shirt, a koozie, and Budweiser keg beer. Awards are presented to first-place male and female finishers in the following age brackets: Under 20, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, and 80+. Overall male and female first-place awards are also given. A post-race awards presentation and celebration take place at Boathouse Oyster Bar after the final crossing of the finish line.
