Event Overview
The Boathouse Oyster Bar 5K is a 5K running event held in Destin, Florida. The event benefits the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, held in memory of Forrest Dalton.
Race Details
The race starts and finishes at the Marler Street parking lot, located at the corner of Marler Street, Highway 98, and Mountain Drive. Please note this is a charged parking lot, with a fee of $5 for 24 hours. The route will have two water stops that participants pass twice each, providing four opportunities for water.
All participants receive an event shirt, a koozie, and Budweiser keg beer. Following the race, an awards ceremony and celebration will be held at the Boathouse Oyster Bar.
Awards
Awards are given for the first-place male and female finisher in each of the following age brackets: Under 20, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, and 80+. There are also overall awards for the first-place male and female finishers.
