Event Overview
The Boathouse Oyster Bar 5K is a running event held in Destin, Florida. The race serves as a fundraiser benefiting the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation in memory of Forrest Dalton. Participants complete a 5 km course that features two water stops. Because the route passes these locations twice, runners have four separate opportunities for hydration during the event.
Logistical Details
The start and finish lines are located at the Marler Street parking lot, situated at the corner of Marler Street, Highway 98, and Mountain Drive. This is a paid parking facility with a daily rate. Packet pickup is scheduled on the morning of the race at the same parking lot location.
Participant Amenities and Awards
All registered participants receive a shirt and a koozie. The event concludes with a celebration at the Boathouse Oyster Bar following the final crossing of the finish line. Awards are presented to the overall first-place male and female finishers.
