Blue Ducky 5K Waddle

The Blue Ducky 5K Waddle is held in remembrance of Stephany Nicolosi, who helped save lives through organ, eye, and tissue donation. The event name references her love of the color blue and rubber duckies. A portion of the proceeds benefits the Chris Klug Foundation.

The event is held at Tickfaw State Park in Springfield, Louisiana. The course is on the main park entrance road. Participants run on the side of the road or grass for 1.55 miles out and back. The route passes a water area and finishes near the River Trail head. Bathrooms are located next to the start and finish area.

Check-in is on the morning of the event from 6:30 AM to 7:45 AM at a blue tent near the bathrooms around the River Trail. Parking is available in the park. The course closes at 10:00 AM or after the final participant finishes.

The entry fee is $45. This covers race entry and swag items. All participants receive a shirt and sunglasses, as well as fruit salad and a breakfast sandwich. Awards are given to the top male and female finishers after the last participant completes the course.

For safety, strollers and dogs are not allowed on the course. The use of closed-ear headphones is discouraged.

A virtual 5K option is also available. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
