Bloom & Zoom Charity Festival
The Bloom & Zoom is a multi-distance event held at the WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary. Organized by Fit & Able, this festival serves as a platform for various local nonprofit organizations to raise funds and awareness. Participating charities include the Salvation Army of Wake County, Cary Rotary Club, and Alliance Medical Ministry, among others.
Participants can choose to run, walk, roll, or stroll across several different event categories. The in-person races feature mass starts on a course that remains open for approximately 90 minutes. For those unable to attend at the physical location, virtual versions of the primary distances are also available.
The event offers the following distances and categories:
- 8K (In-person and Virtual)
- 5K (In-person and Virtual)
- Fun Mile (In-person and Virtual)
- Kids in Strollers (Ages 4 and under)
Registered participants in the 5K, 8K, and Fun Mile receive a finishers medal and a participant gift. The event includes an awards program with potential prizes for top overall finishers, age group winners, and those who set new course records. Registrants also earn points toward the Fit & Able Free-for-All Race Series.
