Blessing of the Fleet 5K - Stonington
The Blessing of the Fleet event is an in-person, timed road race through historic Stonington Borough. The certified course starts and ends at the Town Dock, 1 High Street, Stonington. A noncompetitive walk follows the same start and finish location.

Advance registration for the 2026 event is $25 per entry; race day registration is $30 and on-site registration is available. Registered participants receive an official 2026 race bib and a commemorative t-shirt if registration is completed by July 1. Check-in and packet pickup take place under the big tent at the Town Dock where participants receive race bags and bib numbers.
The course is open to traffic with planned traffic pauses; runners and walkers should remain mindful of vehicle traffic. Two water stations will be staffed by volunteers, and volunteers with flags and signage will guide participants along the route. Volunteers will also collect refuse and recycling, with bags and barrels provided for plastic bottles.
After finishing, participants can access recovery beverages, snacks, and post-event stretches provided by physical therapy and sports medicine personnel. Top finishers will be recognized in age related categories. Raffle opportunity prizes are available; each registrant receives raffle tickets in the goodie bag and additional tickets may be purchased.
