John & Jessie Kelley Half Marathon
The John & Jessie Kelley Half Marathon is a road race held at Ocean Beach Park in New London, Connecticut. The 64th annual event is scheduled for Saturday, August 1, 2026. The course is described as a well marked and supported road route that runs along rural roads in the City of New London and the Town of Waterford and provides vistas of Long Island Sound. The race starts and finishes at Ocean Beach Park, which features a three quarter mile sugar sand beach and a boardwalk.
The race is free and participants are asked to bring a food donation for the Gemma E. Moran United Way Labor Food Center. Timing is provided by Mylaps chip timing through SNERRO. Awards are given in standard age divisions and there is a team competition. On-site amenities listed include finisher medals, the Port and Starboard clam chowder, Coca Cola products, pre and post race physical therapy, live music, and a large raffle.
