63rd Annual Ocean Beach/John & Jessie Kelley Half Marathon
The event is a half marathon held on Saturday, August 1, 2026, in New London, Connecticut. The race starts and finishes at Ocean Beach Park, 1225 Ocean Ave., New London, CT 06320. Entry is free; runners are asked to bring a food donation for the Gemma E. Moran United Way Labor Food Center. Registration opens April 25, 2026 and the event listing shows available spots remaining.
Course and race services
The half marathon is run on a well marked and supported road course that passes panoramic views of Long Island Sound and rural roads in the City of New London and the Town of Waterford. The venue includes a 3/4 mile sugar sand beach and boardwalk. Timing is provided by Mylaps chip timing (SNERRO). The event offers awards in standard age divisions, a team competition, finisher medals, pre- and post-race physical therapy, live music, a raffle, and food and beverage items such as Port and Starboard clam chowder and Coca Cola products.
