Niantic Bay Triathlon : Niantic and East Lyme, Connecticut
The Niantic Bay Triathlon takes place on Sunday, August 9, 2026, in the shoreline communities of Niantic and East Lyme, Connecticut. The event is organized by the Hartford Marathon Foundation and follows a sprint-distance format with separate registration options for teams and aquabike participants.
Race segments:
- Swim: 1/2 mile in calm Niantic Bay without waves or strong currents.
- Bike: 11.4 mile loop through East Lyme on rolling, shaded roads with long straightaways.
- Run: 3.2 miles along the oceanfront, finishing on the beach.
