Event overview
The Blades Trail Race is a trail event in Pocomoke, Maryland, held on March 15, 2026. The course is a 10 Miler located in the Hudson-Tarr Tract of Pocomoke State Forest on Blades Road, off Rt. 113 between Pocomoke and Snow Hill, about one mile south of Shad Landing Pocomoke River State Park. The final cutoff time for the 10 miler is 3 hours. There will be one aid station on course. Some trail sections cross small creeks and may have water on them.
Logistics and rules
Parking at Blades Road and the race location is limited; carpooling is advised. Packet pickup is available the day before at Dockside Bar & Grill, 2 Riverside Dr., Pocomoke, MD, and there is a race day packet pickup option. This is a cupless race; runners must use their own cup, water bottles, hydration belt, or vest. The course will be marked with spray painted arrows, logs or sticks, signs, low caution tape, and small green construction flags on the right side of the trail.
Additional rules include no drop bags, no bib transfers, no pacers, no dogs for runners, visible bib numbers at all times, no littering, and assistance only at aid stations. Transfers between distances are permitted with advance notice; the price difference is nonrefundable. If the event is cancelled for force majeure that prevents EMS and support staff from functioning safely, no refunds or credits will be issued.
