Event overview
The Blacksburg Turkey Trot is a Thanksgiving Day running event on November 27, 2025, in downtown Blacksburg, Virginia (108 W Roanoke St). The event includes the following distances and races:
- 5K - course open to walkers and runners.
- Gobble Gobble Kids Dash - short race for children; finishes prior to the 5K start.
The Turkey Trot is a professionally timed event. Participants receive a race bib and a chip timing device at packet pickup.
Registration and logistics
Preregistration prices are listed as: 5K : $27 early bird, $32 regular; Gobble Gobble Kids Dash : $22 early bird, $27 regular. Online registration closes on November 25, 2025 at 12pm. Registrations after the online deadline may be handled as walkup entries with a $5 price increase.
Shirts are guaranteed for registrations received by November 16; remaining shirts after that date are distributed first come, first served based on registration time. Packet pickup is scheduled on November 26 at Nest Realty New River Valley; there is no race day packet pickup. The event is presented by Kroger and Venveo.
