Course and race logistics
Both the 10 Mile and 5K start at Margaret Beeks Elementary School and share the first 2.6 miles. The 5K turns left to return to the school while the 10 Mile continues straight for an out-and-back on the Huckleberry Trail. Aid stations are located at miles 2, 4.5, 6, and 8; gels are available at the second and fourth aid stations. Strollers are allowed; dogs are not permitted. The 10 Mile has a soft cutoff of three hours; participants must maintain about an 18-minute-per-mile pace to finish within the cutoff. After the cutoff, aid stations and marshals may not be available and finish times may not be recorded.
Registration, shirts and awards
Early registration pricing is tiered by date for both distances. All 10 Mile finishers receive a finisher gift. Long-sleeve race shirts are provided to 5K and 10 Mile registrants who register before the stated cutoff date. Awards include overall top three male and female, masters (40+), grand masters (50+), and top three in each age group; each finisher is eligible for one award determined by priority.
