The 10 mile and 5K share the first 2.6 miles; at that point the 5K returns to Margaret Beeks while the 10 mile continues on an out-and-back along the Huckleberry Trail. Aid stations are located at approximately 2, 4.5, 6, and 8 miles, with energy gels available at the second and fourth stations. The 10 mile has a soft cutoff of three hours; participants must maintain roughly an 18 minute per mile pace to finish within that cutoff. Strollers are allowed on course; dogs are not permitted.

Awards are given to the overall top three male and female finishers, top master 40 plus, top grand master 50 plus, and the top three in each age group. Finishers may receive only one award determined by a stated priority order. The 10 mile finishers receive a finisher gift, and long sleeve race shirts are provided to 5K and 10 mile registrants who register before midnight on February 8. Packet pickup is scheduled for Friday, February 20 at RunAbout Sports Blacksburg. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
